Refund Policy
1. Our Commitment
At Mindemy, we are confident in the quality of our course content. However, we understand that a purchase may not always meet your expectations. We have written this Refund Policy to be straightforward and fair.
Our standard refund window is 14 days from the date of purchase. Within that period, you may request a full refund for any reason, no questions asked.
2. Your EU Consumer Rights
As a consumer within the European Union, you have rights under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (Directive 2011/83/EU).
For digital content delivered over the internet, the 14-day statutory right of withdrawal may be waived if you explicitly consent to the immediate commencement of the service and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal is thereby lost. Mindemy may present this waiver at checkout in accordance with Article 16(m) of the Directive.
However, irrespective of whether you waived the statutory right of withdrawal, we voluntarily offer a 14-day goodwill refund as described in Section 3 below. This voluntary policy is more generous than what Romanian or EU law strictly requires and does not affect any non-waivable statutory rights you may hold.
Nothing in this Policy limits or excludes any statutory consumer rights that cannot be excluded by contract under applicable EU or Romanian law.
3. Refund Eligibility
You are eligible for a full refund if all of the following conditions are met:
- Your refund request is submitted within 14 days of the date of purchase.
- You have completed fewer than 5 lessons (i.e. less than approximately 25% of the course). This threshold ensures the refund is not misused as a way to access the majority of the course content for free.
- You have not previously been granted a refund for a Mindemy purchase.
If you believe you have exceptional circumstances that fall outside these conditions, please contact us at support@mindemy.io and we will review your case individually.
4. How to Request a Refund
There are two ways to request a refund:
Option A β Via Your Account Settings (Recommended)
- Log in to your Mindemy account.
- Go to Account Settings (top-right profile menu).
- Click the Subscription tab.
- Click "Request a Refund" and complete the short form.
- Submit your request. You will receive an email confirmation.
Option B β Via Email
Send an email to support@mindemy.io with:
- Subject line: "Refund Request β [your registered email address]"
- Your full name
- The email address used for your Mindemy account
- The approximate date of purchase
- Brief reason for requesting a refund (optional, but helpful for us to improve)
5. Processing & Timeline
- Refund requests are reviewed within 2 business days.
- Once approved, the refund is processed via Stripe back to your original payment method.
- Funds typically appear within 5β10 business days, depending on your card issuer or bank.
- Upon processing a refund, your Lifetime Access will be revoked and your account will revert to the free tier.
- You will receive an email confirmation once the refund is processed.
6. Exceptions & Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be granted in the following circumstances:
- The 14-day window from the date of purchase has passed.
- You have completed 5 or more lessons.
- A refund has previously been issued for your account.
- The account has been suspended due to a violation of our Terms & Conditions.
- The request is made in bad faith (e.g. repeated purchase-and-refund patterns).
If your request is declined, we will explain why and, where possible, offer alternative assistance such as troubleshooting, content clarification, or a complimentary extension period.
